Closing in on Election Day here in the United States means, exposure to an intensifying and constant barrage of campaign rhetoric from the local to national level. It has never ceased to amaze me as to the amount of money spent in this endeavor. What is even more amazing is how people seem to eat it up! Does it ever dawn on most people that the vast majority of this incredibly expensive broadcast time is dedicated to the smearing of the opposition and very little if any on pertinent issues? I have noticed the air of excitement surrounding many in these last days of the present administration, the Bush administration to be precise. It has been documented that George W. Bush himself has been quite subdued during the Republican campaign efforts, I guess in an attempt by McCain/Palin to show that they do represent a different stance. And of course we are familiar with the so-called “Change” platform of the Obama/Biden ticket, which I referenced in my first ever post. Hello, my name is almodesto and I think too much and ask way too many questions for most peoples’ taste. Once upon a time, I had two “friends” that I thought understood and could relate to how I felt about most things, but I was wrong on all accounts. So here I am writing a blog. Something I never had any interest in doing before; I need an outlet, a release of pent up frustration.
